Bibles and Cell Phones

What would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket?
What if we turned around to get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
What if we upgraded it to the latest version?

This is something to make you go....hmmmmm.....where is my Bible?

And, unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected. Jesus has already paid the bill.

How sad zero comments on this post.
Makes one ask why?
Perhaps it speaks too close to the truth for anyone to aknowledge.
Perhaps we see too much of ourselves in the text.
Do we really place more value on our cell phones than we do our Bibles? After all who would think to carry a Bible in thier pockets?
Has the cell phone become a modern day idol?
Do we place more importance on it than we do our faith? Do we spend more time with it attached to our ear than we do praying to God?
We use cell phones to stay connected to each other. God chose the Bible His living word as a means to stay connected to us.
Is God waiting in heaven for us to connect to Him whispering to us "Do you hear me now?"
