Wow! 75,000 pieces of LEGOS!
7ft.by 5 1/2ft
1,372 LEGO people
3,976 windows
includes a balcony, stairs to balcony, restrooms, several mosaics, an altar, a crucifix, a pulpit and an elaborate pipe organ
It strikes me that most of the faces have little or no expressions and there seems to be plenty of open seats left. But it is certainly large and pretty. Unfortunately in the real world most of us would rather not be "toyed" with(hope the spelling is correct, didn't look right, but you get the point).
Who put this together? The staff up in Toledo? Soon Northwest Ohio will have lots of pretty plastic churches, seating plastic people, paid with plastic credit?
Parishioners are supposed to be solomn in church, so why make the lego people any different. It would be unfortunate if this is the plan for the diocese, but we have to deal with the priest shortage somehow. I will not use this as an excuse to not go to Mass.
