I've been wondering how to get through this political season. Any help from God's Word today about the prophets?
"Prophets relied on oracles, visions, dreams, and interpreted signs to glean God's will in their times. They also rested on the following assumptions:
Politics and religion do mix. All authorities rule only at God's pleasure.
The world stage, and not just Israelite history, operates under God's command.
The exterior condition depends on the interior condition. To change the world, change your heart. "
So, what do you think God has to do with this election?

He's testing our hearts

Politics and religion are being mixed, the question for me is whether or not that is doing more harm than good.
To bring the church into the government is to bring power and potential enforcement of beliefs that are not shared by all. To bring government into the church is to tempt the church with all of the trappings of political power.
Each will serve only to make the other more corrupt when combined.
Having a nation of Christians, and having a Christian government are not one in the same.
